Mountain Leader
If you love being in the hills and would like to share your enthusiasm and expertise with others by leading walking groups then this course is for you. This six day course is intended for experienced hill walkers who wish to become leaders in the British mountains. The course will address technical skill, judgement and areas of knowledge which will make you a safe leader.
Pre-Requisites and Registration

Syllabus
This course covers all aspects of the Mountain Training syllabus. Although the programme may change to take account of weather and other considerations.
The course content will cover the following areas:
- Group management
- Navigation
- Access and the environment
- Hazards (including steep ground and rivers) and emergency procedures
- Equipment
- Expedition skills
- Weather
- Background knowledge
